If you have spent any time with me at all, you will know that being happy is incredibly important to me. I love laughter and having fun as it makes me feel so much better regardless of the situation I am in

And I thought rather than write about humour I would share things that make me laugh out loud!

Some of these will have appealed to you and others not so much. That’s the strange thing about humour – we all have a different sense of humour, so we have to seek out things that we find funny. Why? Because I believe humour and laughter are so important to our wellbeing (which is also why I love gifs). In fact, we should go out of our way every day to seek things that appeal to our sense of humour so that we can truly laugh out loud.

Did you know that laughter:

  1. strengthens your immune system,

  2. boosts mood,

  3. diminishes pain,

  4. protects you from the damaging effects of stress.

Laughing is the fastest thing to bring your mind and body back into balance. It lightens your burdens, inspires hope, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert. It also helps you release anger and forgive sooner. Laughing truly is the best medicine!

As children, we used to laugh hundreds of times a day, but as adults, life tends to be more serious and we don’t laugh as often. It is so important though, that we seek humorous things, so that we feel better. By doing this we can improve our emotional health, strengthen our relationships, find greater happiness—and even add years to your life.
